Dr. Alan Silverman is a board-certified dermatologist with over 35 years of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is dedicated to delivering attentive, evidence-based care and has treated patients throughout his career. His formal education and training include:
- Princeton University (Princeton, NJ) – AB, Biology (cum laude)
- University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (Dallas, TX) – Doctor of Medicine
- UT Southwestern/Presbyterian Hospital (Dallas, TX) – Internal Medicine Residency
- University of Michigan Hospitals (Ann Arbor, MI) – Dermatology Residency
Dr. Silverman is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Dermatology (ABD), both with lifetime certification. He has practiced in private and group settings in Texas and California, including Kaiser Permanente and Mercy Medical Group.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Silverman enjoys reading and would love to own a copy of John James Audubon’s, The Birds of America. He believes everyone should use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen every day.
